FLODESK - Email Newsletter, $38/month or 50% off from link for life!
Flodesk is a new email newsletter option so it is still in beta, but so far I have been happy with it. Click on "Flodesk" above to use my link to get 50% off for life! I love that it is easy to create customized layouts for your emails and as you create, it automatically saves your work. It has unlimited subscribers so you don't have to worry about it getting more expensive as you grow your subscriber list.
SHIPSTATION - Shipping/Order Management/Inventory Software, $9 to $159/month
I no longer use Shipstation, but still have it on this list because it is a great option for when you are just starting out. We have switched to ShippingEasy for more advanced inventory syncing which is no longer a feature that they offer. Shipstation offers discounted shipping, an easy way to organize your orders and print out your orders for shipping and fulfilling. It also can keep track of your inventory levels, especially if you have more than one channel you sell thru. The reason we switched to ShippingEasy was because Shipstation only syncs inventory info into Shipstation and doesn't update inventory levels on the sales channels. The price of Shipstation is dependent on how many shipments you send per month. If you just want to use Shipstation as a program to keep your orders organized and sync your inventory, they have a plan for as little as $9 per month. This plan would also include up to 50 shipments per month.
I have tried quite a few different bookkeeping software programs, and I really like GoDaddy. It is more on the basic side, but has everything you need to keep track of income and expenses as well as profit and loss. They have a higher level plan that adds the option to be able to invoice customers, but we don't need that feature so the $9.99 a month plan works best for us.Â
GOOGLE DRIVE - Cloud Syncing FREE to $18 per user per month
Having all of your files and documents backed up on the cloud is a must for any business. We have been very happy with Google Drive. I am able to have everything saved in one place and sync it to multiple computers and devices so my business can run smoothly and not use up a bunch of space. One of my favorite features of Google Drive is you can login to your drive online and search for files which comes in handy when I am notorious for saving things in the wrong files! We use the Google Workspace option which gives us unlimited space and a custom email address which is $12 per user per month.
TRELLO - To Do List/Organizaiton Software, FREE to $12.50 per user per month
Trello is hands down my favorite way to keep my business organized. I have everything organized in Trello from task lists for my employees to databases of all the patterns we sell. Trello is simplified to the point where it can work for a wide variety of business applications. We don't pay anything for Trello and have it setup to sync to multiple devices and can be accessed by all of our employees. Trello is setup very simply which makes it really easy to adapt it to a wide variety of applications.
HOOT SUITE - Social Media Planning, FREE to $599 per month
We use Hootsuite to plan and schedule social media posts. With the FREE plan, you can schedule up to 30 posts at a time and have up to 3 social media networks linked. I plan out my entire week's posts one day per week and can schedule everything super easy. I use the Hootsuite website and have an app I use on my phone as well. The more expensive plans allow you to post more and have more social media accounts linked so the FREE plan should work for most anyone.
Canva is a great option for designing just about anything! We are on the Canva Pro plan for $12.99 per month which gives us the option to make templates, upload our own fonts to use, schedule posts to social media, and much more. If you need an alternative to designing within your vinyl crafting software for full color graphics, printed media, and more, Canva is a great resource for this. Canva also has a variety of tools and effects that are helpful to make great looking graphics. They also have a ton of templates to choose from that are sized for social media, business cards, flyers, presentations, and much more.
